Where I’ve Been, and Why Authenticity Still Wins
I’ve been a little MIA lately. Not in a mysterious, Eat Pray Love way…more in a quiet, uninspired, staring-at-the-screen-and-feeling-nothing kind of way. Mostly, I just haven’t felt compelled to share personal thoughts or feelings. And honestly? Looking at the world around us, I don’t think that’s surprising. I have a strong feeling many of you feel the same. There’s a collective exhaustion in the air..one that comes from living in a society engineered for short attention spans and instant gratification. We’re surrounded by content designed to be consumed, forgotten, and replaced within seconds. Everything is optimized for quick hits of dopamine, encouraging us to scroll erratically, hunting for just one more post ..as long as it’s new, loud, and temporarily distracting enough to justify the doom scroll.
